Founder Story: Larisa Ginzburg
Founder Larisa Ginzburg immigrated to the United States from the former USSR at the age of 19. Arriving in New York City, she embraced the opportunity for creativity and self-expression that her new home offered.
Before launching her eyewear brand, Larisa worked in the technology sector and later entered the world of e-commerce, consulting for a range of fashion, footwear, and optical brands. Through her experience in the eyewear industry, she recognized a gap in the market for vintage-inspired frames that were both well-made and affordable.
In 2012, Vint & York sold its first pair of glasses. Within just a few years, the brand had developed a loyal following of customers drawn to its unique blend of retro style and modern sophistication.
From Online Startup to New York Flagship
By 2014, the growing popularity of the brand led to the opening of a brick-and-mortar flagship store in NoLita, one of Manhattan’s most fashionable neighborhoods.
